Lake Wendouree

Ballarat Botanical Gardens
heritage listed gardens were established in 1857 and consist of 40 hectares of botanic gardens and arboretum located on the western shore of Lake Wendouree.

The National Centre for Photography
Due to open in 2024, the National Centre for Photography will proudly sit on Lydiard Street, between Craigs Hotel, the Art Gallery of Ballarat and the Post Office Gallery, and will add to the public gallery programming of Ballarat.

Sovereign Hill

Lake Esmond Botanical Garden

Ballarat Wildlife Park
Ballarat Wildlife Park is an interactive wildlife park which was opened by Greg Parker in 1987. The Park is situated on 37 acres (15 ha) of natural bush land. The Park currently holds around 400 species of animals, including free-roaming kangaroos and emus that can be hand fed.
