Ballarat Wildlife Park

Ballarat Wildlife Park is an interactive wildlife park which was opened by Greg Parker in 1987. The Park is situated on 37 acres (15 ha) of natural bush land. The Park currently holds around 400 species of animals, including free-roaming kangaroos and emus that can be hand fed.

The Park currently holds around 400 species of animals, including free-roaming kangaroos and emus that can be handfed. Most of the animals are native to Australia including koalas, wombats, quokkas, echidnas and both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles. Some foreign animals include the Indian star tortoise, the American alligator and the Aldabra giant tortoise.

Ballarat Wildlife Park is just around the corner from Prospect Cottage Ballarat. A 3 minute taxi/rideshare or car ride away. Or a brisk 30 minute walk to take in and enjoy the picturesque tree lined streets, colonial houses and rich history of the area.
