The Eureka Centre explores the cultural impact of the gold rush and tells the stories of the men and women who risked their lives in the fight for miner’s rights.
The impact of their struggle and the resulting political reforms continues today in the rights enjoyed by all Australian citizens.
Eureka Centre Ballarat is located at what is considered to be the historic site of 1854 Eureka Stockade rebellion, in the grounds of the Eureka Stockade Memorial Gardens.
The Eureka Centre is home to the Eureka Flag – one of Australia’s most revered cultural artefacts.
